We have been very fortunate with our first cut haylage. Our friends up country have not been so lucky, and the shortage of grass across the nation will have quite an impact on winter feeding. We are about to start our second cut, but we can already see that we will have very little to show for our hard work due to the lack of rain, which is really disheartening. We've had many conversations with our lovely customers who have had to feed much more hay/haylage this summer than previous years and are worrying about grass for the winter. It is a real problem causing a lot of worry for anyone with horses & livestock.
